E-mail : Electronic mailThere are numerous E-mail systems, but the most prominent are systems that support the POP3 protocol. POP3 is the E-mail system that has been developed for the Internet. E-mail applications that are POP3 compliant include Microsoft Mail, Schedule, Outlook 97/98 and Outlook Express, as well as Netscape Navigator. ftp : File Transfer Protocolftp is the protocol used for copying (uploading) files from PCs to Web sites, although it can be used for general copying on UNIX computers. Popular ftp software packages include WS_FTP Pro and Cuteftp. |
